Big Rig Runs Over Injured Pedestrian's Body
Police in Phoenix, Arizona are searching for the driver that struck a woman and then left her lying in the street. The investigating officers are asking for public assistance in tracking down the driver to bring him to justice. The police report shows that the J.L.M, 31, was walking along a road around 2:30 a.m. when she was struck by a passenger car. The driver of that vehicle pulled over to check on the woman, but before he could reach her, a semi-tractor ran over her body. It is uncertain whether the driver of the big rig knew that he/she ran over a body or fled the scene of the truck accident.
Just a short time after EMTs arrived, the woman died from massive internal injuries. The driver of the passenger car has not been charged in connection with the accident. While he was able to provide police with some details about the tractor trailer, they have not been enough to identify and locate the driver.
