Truck Accident Causes Power Outage
In Enon Valley, Pennsylvania, police say that 1,000 Penn Power customers were without electrical services on Monday during afternoon hours. The pour outage was caused after a large truck collided with a utility pole on Route 551.
Officers say that the truck driver crashed into the utility pole that had two transformers. The transformers were responsible for providing electrical services to most of the Enon Valley area.
A spokesperson with Penn Power told news sources that crews worked diligently to restore the electricity. Customers started to receive service again by 5:45 PM that same day.
