Man in Critical Condition After Car Accident

In Phoenix, police say that a car accident remains under investigation.  Officers are trying to figure out why a driver slammed into a street pole this Wednesday afternoon.  The accident is reported to have occurred on 7^th Street and Osborn Road.

According to Phoenix Police Department spokesman Steve Martos, crews were called to the accident site at around 3:00 PM.  They say that no one else was in the car when the accident occurred and that no other vehicles were involved.

A 20 year old Hispanic male was reported as the driver.  He had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment and was listed as being in critical condition. 

Police say that they will continue their investigations as they are not sure what prompted the crash.
