Teen Killed during Pedestrian Accident

Last Friday, a young teenager was the unfortunate victim of a pedestrian accident.  According to reports, a 14 year old had been walking across a street, got hit by a vehicle and then died at the scene of the accident which took place around 10:45 PM.

The accident took place on 72^nd Avenue and Indian School Road.  Just before the accident, an officer had drove past the scene and had made a U-Turn.  A witness said that the officer had shined a patrol car spotlight on two individuals who were jaywalking and claimed that the light may have blinded the driver that hit the teenager.

However, the officer claims that he did not turn his light on until after the accident.  His side of the story has been confirmed by the driver.  Police say the driver was cooperative and that drugs and alcohol were not involved.

At this time, no word has been released on the condition of the second pedestrian.
