Truck Accident Kills Sleeping Victim in Park

In Phoenix, law enforcement agents say that a 50 year old man was run over by a truck at University Park in downtown Phoenix.  The man was killed as a result of the truck accident that took place this past Friday.

According to police, the park on 11^th Avenue and Van Buren has a locked gate.  However, two people hopped over the gate on Friday morning sleep inside the park.

That same morning, a pool company entered the park to perform maintenance on a pool that was located behind the locked gate.  When the driver of the company's truck backed up, the vehicle hit one of the people that had been sleeping on the asphalt road that led toward the pool.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital, but was pronounced after arriving at the medical facility.
