Truck Accident Results in Death and Critical Injuries

This past Saturday in Glendale, it is reported that one person died during a serious motor vehicle accident.  Another person supposedly suffered serious injuries during the collision.

According to police, the accident occurred at 2:00 PM near 59^th Avenue and Cactus Road.  Randy Rodriguez, a spokesperson with the Glendale Fire Department said that a Jeep occupied by a male and female was t-boned by a truck.

The woman had to be taken to a Phoenix hospital after suffering critical injuries and the male was also reported as having major injuries.  Police have not yet confirmed which victim died as a result of the truck accident.  However, they have said that the driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.

Officers say that they believe one vehicle made a left turn into a private drive in front of the other victim, causing a collision.  The names of the victims remain unreleased.
