Toddler Victim of Drowning Accident
In the city of Phoenix, reports indicate that a toddler was recently involved in a drowning accident. Reporters say that the toddler is currently fighting for his life and had to be pulled from a pool near 41st Avenue and Greenway.
Police say that while swimming, the father of the 17 month year old lost track of the boy. They speculate that the boy may have been under water for 30 minutes before being rescued. Officers report that the boy may have been attracted to the pool because a toy was stuck to the bottom of the shallow end. No fence surrounded the pool, which is always very dangerous.
Paramedics arrived at the scene of the drowning and performed CPR on the toddler. They then rushed him to a local hospital for treatment. He was listed as being in critical condition.
