Woman’s Dog Gets Put to Sleep after Attacking

Recently in Arizona, a woman from Terre Haute had two of her dogs taken away and one of her dogs put to sleep.  The woman, whose name is Kimberly Drake, lost her animals after Terre Haute Animal Control received reports that the dogs had bit three people.  One of the three people happened to be a police officer.

According to police, the Stafford dog was euthanized.

For over two years, Drake's Phoenix Hills neighbors complained about the dogs.  Despite their persistent complaints, little was done until recently.

Since having her dogs confiscated, Drake has pled not guilty to three charges of harboring dangerous animals.  Her two pitbulls are being held at a local humane shelter until Drake's trial, which is scheduled for June 4, 2010.
