Car Accident Injures Mother and Her Two Children
This week, police in the City of Surprise reported two children suffered injuries on Saturday morning when a Camaro ran a red light and struck the vehicle that they were riding in.
According to Sunrise police spokesman Lt. John Bacon, a woman had been driving a Chevy Camaro when she ran a red light at Cactus and Ballard at approximately 8:00 AM. She then crashed into a Chevy Tahoe that was in the intersection as she ran the traffic light.
Inside the Tahoe were a female driver and her two children, a 16-year-old girl and her infant brother. Both were thrown from the vehicle and had to be flown to the hospital after suffering serious injuries. The mother also suffered injuries and was transferred to hospital by an ambulance. The driver of the Camaro escaped theauto accident without being injured.
Police do not believe that the driver of the Camaro was impaired when the collision took place.
