Police Identify Two Truck Accident Victims

Earlier this week, police from the Phoenix area said they had identified two men who tragically died when their white SUV was involved in a truck accident with a semi-tractor trailer on Sunday.  The trucking accident allegedly occurred because the vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed.

Police identified the driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe as 25-year-old Marcus Rivera.  His passenger in the front seat was 33-year-old Meraldo Torres.  Both were from the Phoenix area.

At this time, police believe alcohol may have been involved in the double fatal accident which took place at 4:00 AM on West Van Buren Street.  Officers say that the driver of the semi truck escaped the accident on injured.
