Phoenix One of the Safest Cities to Drive In

Recently, Allstate Insurance Company released its annual America's Best Drivers Report.  The report takes a look at the collision frequency in 200 metropolitan cities throughout the United States every year.

This year, the report revealed that the safest driving city in America is Fort Collins, Colorado.  The most unsafe drivers can be found in Dallas, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

According to the report, drivers in Fort Collins are involved in a car accident once every 14.5 years whereas those in Philadelphia are involved in collisions once every 6.5 years, which is 54% more likely than average.

There are numerous runners up for the safest city including:  Chattanooga, Tennessee; Boise, Idaho and Colorado Springs.  Among the larger cities, Phoenix drivers were reported as being the safest with drivers being only 1.9% more likely than the national average to be in an auto accident.
