Car Accident May Have Involved Alcohol
Early Sunday morning, police arrived at the scene of a car accident where a woman was ejected from her vehicle and died from her injuries. Upon investigating the crash, police believe that alcohol played a serious role and may rule that the collision was a
drunk driver accident.
The crash took place at approximately 4:50 AM when a 25-year-old driver failed to stop for a red light at an intersection and collided with an approaching vehicle. The driver had a passenger in his vehicle at the time, another 25-year-old. Officers say that when the 25-year-old male hit the oncoming car, the female driver was ejected from her vehicle due to the impact of the crash.
The male driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries and police say that his passenger escaped the collision unharmed. Officers are still looking into the case and criminal charged are pending at this time.
