Several Victims Suffer Injuries during Multi-Vehicle Accident
This week, officials from the Phoenix Police Department reported that five people suffered serious injuries after they were involved in a multi-vehicle accident that managed to halt traffic along a local interstate on the west side.
According to reports, a three vehicle accident took place on the interstate this past Saturday at approximately 2:40 PM. During the collision, five people were ejected or at least partially ejected from their vehicles which led to multiple victims sustaining injuries.
In total, there were seven victims, five being children between the ages of 10 and 18 that were in an SUV that rolled over during the serious crash. A 10-year-old child was ejected from the SUV and remains in critical condition. The extent of the other four children's injuries remains unknown at this time.
Police also say that a male pickup truck driver refused to seek any sort of medical treatment and a female also involved in the accident suffered minor injuries, but went to a local hospital for full evaluation.
