Car Accident Injures One and Kills One

Over the weekend, police say that one woman was killed and another woman had to be taken to a local hospital on Saturday evening after their vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier on McDowell Road.

According to Phoenix police spokesman Steve Martos, officers are not certain if the 19 year old driver who died during the car accident was under the influence when the collision took police.

He said that at this time, investigators are not certain why the driver lost control of the car, but have plans to continue their investigation.

The auto accident took place at 11:00 PM near McDowell Road.  Paramedics had to transport the passenger to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries and the names of the people involved in the collision have not been released.
