Man Found Badly Burned Inside of Car
This week, police in the city of Phoenix found a badly burned man inside of a motor vehicle that had caught fire on Saturday. Officers say that it was in the usual place to find someone in trouble.
At approximately 10:30 AM, police were called to respond to a fire behind the Salt River bed which is off of 7th Avenue. Officers saw a vehicle in flames and immediately doused the car with water. Inside of the vehicle was a man with
burn injuries who was still alive at the time.
Officers took the 51 year old man to the hospital and say that 90% of his body had been burned. He succumbed to his serious injuries at 3:00 PM that same day.
Police report that inside of the man's trunk, they had found a dog lying dead. Investigators are still trying to determine who started the fire and if the accident was a suicide attempt.
