Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed against Transit Agency
After his husband was killed by a Muni bus last year, Theodore Glaza has filed a wrongful death suit against the transit agency.
Police reports show that the operator of the bus, Kimberly Faye Johnson, had been unwrapping a candy bar when she saw Scott Whitsett, 49, crossing the street in front of her. Instead of pressing the brake, Johnson pressed the accelerator and struck Whitsett. The impact pinned him against another Muni bus, killing him instantly.
Glaza now seeks damages for negligence and carelessness for the accident on April 21, 2010. His husband was a community activist and lawyer; he worked for Lexis Nexis from 1998 until the day of his death.
