Young Football Player Dies from Serious Injuries

The death of a young football player is timely considering the recent debate over protective headgear in youth sports.

According to a local police department, the 16-year-old boy was playing in a high school football game when he was hit in the head with the football. Even though he was wearing a helmet at the time, the injuries were severe enough to take his life.

When he was first struck, he was able to sit up on his own but complained of a bad headache. When he tried to stand, however, he collapsed on the field.

The young boy was in the process of being transferred to a larger medical facility when he took a turn for the worse. Doctors were not able to revive him and he was pronounced dead shortly after. His death stunned not just his family but the community at large.

When someone you love receives serious injuries, it is time to speak with a Phoenix personal injury lawyer, especially if the injuries were caused by obvious third-party negligence. Contact the Knowles Law Firm today to arrange a consultation so you are aware of your legal options.
