10-Year-Old Victim of Pedestrian Accident

This week in Phoenix, Arizona, officers say that a 10-year-old girl was the victim of a tragic hit-and-run accident. According to witness statements and news reports, the young girl was trying to get to the other side of a street via a crosswalk near her home when she was hit by a car.

At the time of the crash, the victim was with her 14-year-old sister and surrounded by several witnesses who told officers that the male driver exited the vehicle, briefly checked on the 10-year-old and then told everyone to call 911 before going back to his vehicle and speeding off.
