Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Phoenix Collision

In the city of Phoenix, local news sources reported that one road had to be shut down by police officers after a collision occurred between a motor vehicle and a bike rider. The bicycle accident took place this past Saturday and as a result of the crash, the street was closed for several hours by law enforcement.

Following the accident, one police sergeant told reporters that the bicycle rider had suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. However, the biker is expected to survive. The driver of the vehicle was detained by police because it was believed that alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, police are still looking into the case and reviewing evidence. They say they are not sure how the accident occurred, but will continue investigations until they learn more.
