Police Officer Involved in Crash

When you hear sirens blaring near you on the road, you should pull over immediately. Police officers that are on the way to the scene of an accident or crime are often caught in their own car accident when people do not obey the rules of the road.

Such is the case of a police officer in Phoenix, Arizona that was on his way to a call. On the way a SUV pulled out in front of him, striking the patrol car with such force as to cause it to rollover. As with any accident that involves a police vehicle, the department is conducting an investigation to determine whether the officer was following the proper protocol. The other driver has not been cited for the accident.

Both the officer and the second driver were brought to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. They were released later that day after the car accident.
